Nocy, one of the most prolific Nuevo Flamenco guitarists around, has been at it again. Opening here with the hot and energetic title track which actually translates appropriately to “Flames,” the guitarist gets us going in a hurry. From here, he travels across the mesmerizing spectrum of Latin/Brazilian musical bliss, including “Muito Bom,” “Going to Sao Paolo,” “Bale,” and the infectious gem “Mi Amigo,” featuring the lovely Latin saxtress Jessy J. I could go on and on, but one listen to this project—or any of Nocy’s material—will convince you, if you are new to his music, that he is certainly among the top Nuevo Flamenco artists who know what this music means and does to the willing souls who encounter it.
